MASTER PLANNING PROCESS

Heritage Christian Academy and Heritage Christian Foundation partnered with Hord Coplan Macht (HCM) to develop a Master Use Plan for how to best utilize the new land. United Civil Group was also engaged to provide engineering guidance on a variety of aspects.

Master Plan Purpose

The purpose of this document is to assist Heritage Christian Academy in planning for a thoughtful and mission‐appropriate development of newly acquired land adjacent to the existing school building. The master plan is intended to be a tool to guide the school in the development of this property.

In partnership with HCM and UCG, the HCA Board, HCF Board, and HCA Leadership embarked on a thorough process driven by a four-phase approach.

Phase 01: Learn
Focused on learning about and assessing the school’s Educational Program Needs and an overall analysis of our site.

Phase 02: Assemble
Defining Project Guiding Principles and Goals and refining the Educational Program needs and diagram our Site Program.

Phase 03: Develop
Developed three preliminary Master Plan options and solicited feedback from the HCA Community at large, the elementary and secondary faculty and staff, and the school’s leadership.

Phase 04: Refine

All these efforts led to the development of the Final Master Plan, including a preliminary Civil Engineering Report. HCM used the Final Master Plan to develop the conceptual renderings shown above.

This planning process led to defining the Heritage Tomorrow vision to be centered on the development of a new Heritage Christian Academy campus on the new property, including expanded sports facilities (track, soccer field, expanded gym space), facilities dedicate for chapel and performing arts, and the educational resources for the future growth of the school.
